Media Interview – Huicheng News

The mainland’s online media, Huicheng News, has conducted an interview in its economic program namely “ Economic Window” with the General Manager, Mr. Wong Ying Po (“Mr. Wong”), of Town Ray Electrical (Huizhou) Limited (“Town Ray Huizhou”), a subsidiary of our Group. The subject of the interview is the new development on the intelligence of electrical home appliance enterprises.

Apart from introducing the intelligent function of our star product, fully automatic coffee machine, Mr. Wong also revealed that Town Ray Huizhou was recognized as " Professional, Advanced, Specialized and New SME of Guangdong Province in 2020" (廣東省2020年專精特新中小企業) and " High and New Technology Enterprise" (高新技術企業). In addition to receiving RMB 200,000 award, Town Ray Huizhou also enjoys a preferential corporate income tax rate of 15%. The Bureau of Industry and Information of Guangdong Province (廣東省工信廳) will also support the recognized enterprises in finance, technology, innovation, transformation and training etc. All these enable Town Ray Huizhou to contribute funds to technology, scientific research and production facilities enhancement.

Although the pandemic affected many industries, Mr. Wong revealed that the Group experiences sales growth in the European market resulting from home economy. The new norm of work from home increased the use of electrical home appliances. The convenience of online shopping has driven sales of necessities, including electrical home appliances. Besides, rising health consciousness also increases the need to cook at home and the demand for high-quality cooking appliances. It is believed that all these new norms will continue to effect after the pandemic and benefit the long-term development of the electrothermic household appliances industry.

Mr. Wong said the Group remains optimistic about the long-term growth of household appliances despite the challenging business environment. By investing in research and development, the Group has been granted many patents, designs and trademarks to maintain product competitiveness. In the future, the Group will further upgrade its production facilities and capacity, enhance the level of automation, digitalization and intelligence in its production process towards the Industrial 4.0 standard.
