Virtual factory tour 2

Town Ray sees maintaining strong and transparent communications on its development as the utmost important responsibility as a listed company to all stakeholders. Given the new normal of online meetings, the Company held its second virtual factory tour on 7 December 2022 for investors to learn more about its latest updates.

The attending management included Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director - Mr. Chan Wai Ming, Executive Director and Managing Director – Ms. Tang Mei Wah, R&D Director – Mr. Yim Kwok Kei, General Manager - Mr. Wong Ying Po, PAQC Manager - Mr. Li Man Fai and Quality Assurance Manager - Mr. Chu Tat Yan.

Mr. Chan and Ms. Tang revealed the new development of the Company. Town Ray continues to use its core technologies towards industry 4.0 to enhance its production capability and competitiveness. The Company is preparing its expansion into the B2C market in mainland China and ASEAN countries.

Mr. Yim introduced the two R&D strategies that Town Ray is currently using, namely (1) fundamental R&D and (2) Incremental R&D. With its dedication to innovation, the Company is progressing many patent applications this year. “In Town Ray, R&D does not only work on product design. We always strive to achieve Design for Excellence in which innovation is immersed with smart production technology.” Mr. Yim said.

Mr. Li showed the Company’s progress in its automation of coffee machine sub-assembly. The Company has completed the first stage of the automation and plans to complete the remaining four stages by the end of 2023. After the completion of automation, production efficiency for the sub-assembly process of the coffee machine will be significantly improved. Automation also brings the benefit of optimal quality standards.

Mr. Wong introduced our new Manufacturing Execution System (MES). The MES realized IoT of production machinery and real-time monitoring of operation status, thereby enhancing production efficiency and management. Mr. Chu further illustrated the idea of Design for Excellence on quality assurance by explaining how the Company’s self-invented Auto Detection Instrument and the newly introduced Particle-size Instrument increased our quality control efficiency and accuracy.

Following the further relaxation of pandemic prevention and control policies in Hong Kong and the PRC, the Company is looking forward to holding field factory tours for investors and media soon after quarantine-free travel with the Mainland is resumed.
