The Strive and Rise Programme

Town Ray, as a company dedicated to social responsibility, has actively encouraged its employees to participate in volunteer social services, including the Strive and Rise Programme (the “Progremme”). One recent notable example is the involvement of Mr. Yu Kwok Wai, the Group's Executive Director, who partnered with his mentee, Kasper, and engaged in various activities together under the Programme.

The Strive and Rise Programme, initiated by an inter-departmental task force led by The Chief Secretary for Administration, was launched in September 2022. The Programme successfully paired 2,800 mentees with mentors. The Programme targets Secondary One to Secondary Four students from underprivileged families.

Through the support of the Programme, Mr. Yu utilized the provided financial resources to assist Kasper in achieving his personal development goals. This mentorship and financial support have proven instrumental in broadening the horizons of mentees, reinforcing their self-confidence, instilling a positive outlook on life, and helping them set ambitious goals for the future.

The impact of the Programme was celebrated at a graduation ceremony, where approximately 120 mentors and 120 students were commended for their dedication and achievements. Mr. Yu was honoured with the prestigious "Caring Award" in recognition of his active involvement and unwavering support for the students. Furthermore, Kasper's remarkable spirit of continuous improvement and outstanding performance earned him the esteemed "Outstanding Performance Award."

Town Ray remains committed to its social responsibilities and will continue encouraging its employees to participate in initiatives like the Strive and Rise Programme. By fostering mentorship and providing necessary resources, the Programme empowers underprivileged students to overcome challenges, develop their potential, and strive for a brighter future.
