Media Interview – Hong Kong Commercial Daily

The local newspaper, Hong Kong Commercial Daily, has conducted an interview with our Group’s Chairman, Dr. Chan Kam Kwong, Charles, over the topic of “ Economic Internal Circulation” promoted by the PRC government. Dr. Chan is very optimistic about the "Economic Internal Circulation" and believes that the key to success lies in reducing the reliance on parts imported from overseas.

Regarding the trend of global industrial chain reorganisation, Dr. Chan believes that its impact on the household appliance industry will be relatively small. In future, the Group will explore the Asian and Southeast Asian markets in response to change of the international situation. Considering the short-term incentives to set up factory offered by the government of Vietnam, Cambodia and other Southeast Asian regions, and the production costs in the long run are similar to mainland China, Dr. Chan revealed that the Group is not considering to set up factory in these areas for the time being.

The Group expects to increase its production capacity by 50% by the end of next year. In future, it will re-launch its old business, including electric grill and heating ironing boards, and will add new functions to its existing products in line with the market trends.
