Directors of the Year Awards 2022

Having an experienced and competent management team is one of Town Ray’s core competitive strengths attributable to our success and potential for further growth. This year, Ms. Tang Mei Wah, our Group’s Executive Director, has been awarded the “Director of the Year Awards 2022” presented by The Hong Kong Institute of Directors (HKIoD), in recognition of her dedication to promoting good corporate governance and director professionalism.

“Directors of The Year Awards” were fist launched in 2001 as the first ever such Awards organised in Asia. The project has now become an annual project of impact in the community organised by the Institute together with over 100 Project Partners. Nominations of candidates are open to the public and are processed in a well-defined and stringent set of procedures. Awards are presented by company categories, namely Listed Companies, Private Companies and Non-profit-distributing Organisations, and by capacities, namely Executive Directors, Non-Executive Directors and Boards. "From Resilience to Sustainability" is the theme of the Awards this year.

The award presentation ceremony was held on 23 November 2022 in the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Ms. Tang received the honor from Mr. Richard Tsang, Deputy Chairman of HKIoD. Ms. Tang thanked the Panel of Judges and the HKIoD for the recognition. She also extended her sincere gratitude to the Board, the management and all our colleagues for their dedicated support and commitment. “Receiving such a prestigious award is most encouraging, and I am sure that this recognition will inspire our Company as a whole to keep pursuing excellence.” said Ms. Tang.
