Climate Governance Award 2025

Town Ray is honored to announce that our Chief Executive Officer & Executive Director, Mr. Chan Wai Ming, has been presented with the prestigious Climate Governance Award 2025 by The Hong Kong Institute of Directors (HKIoD). This award recognises directors who demonstrate exemplary leadership in guiding their organisations toward sustainable and climate-resilient business practices, underscoring Mr. Chan’s pivotal role in embedding environmental stewardship into the heart of Town Ray’s strategic vision and operational governance.

Under Mr. Chan’s leadership, Town Ray has consistently translated climate ambition into measurable progress. This accolade reflects our concrete actions, including the installation of a solar photovoltaic system at our Huizhou production facility, a key initiative that reduces Scope 2 emissions and advances our shift toward renewable energy. He has also championed a comprehensive carbon-reduction strategy encompassing Scopes 1, 2, and 3 emissions, adopted a full-value-chain approach to climate impact, and integrated climate-related risks and opportunities into the Company’s risk management, strategic planning, and executive performance systems.

The award ceremony was held on 27 November 2025 at Hopewell Hotel in Wan Chai, honoring directors and governance leaders who have shown exceptional commitment and strategic foresight in embedding climate action within corporate governance.
